Supermodel & fitness expert Oraine Barrett stars in ‘CMS TV’
THIS WEEK’S instalment of the exciting Caribbean
Model Search (CMS) TV series which airs tonight on TVJ, will, see added star power in the form of supermodel Oraine Barrett.
The highly successful male model brings a wealth of experience to the series, having come full circle as a winner of the CMS live event in the late ’90s. Barrett makes his first appearance in episode three of the eight-part series as a judge and will also play a major role in taking the contestants through a series of fitness activities and challenges.
Romae Gordon, Pulse director and one of the judges in the series, says, “Oraine is a great addition to the new season of
CMS TV. He has the perfect credentials to assess the contestants because he is an exceptional model who is super fit, and he has experienced what they are going through now. He is a great example of the success that can come from having a winning attitude and dedication to his work. We are also pleased to have Oraine on the panel ... because there are guys competing against the girls for the first time in the show.” Pulse founder Kingsley Cooper rounds out the panel.
IMPRESSIVE BODY OF WORK
Alicia Burke, one of Pulse’s outstanding stars and one of the biggest successes coming out of the show, also guest stars in the new season. Burke took the top honours in the 2015 instalment, and since her win, she has produced an impressive and extensive body of work that has catapulted her to the top ranks of modelling worldwide.
As Burke takes great strides in becoming one of the top 50 highest-earning models in the world, Barrett has maintained his dominance in the men’s category with campaigns for several major global brands, including Nautica, John Bartlett, Lord & Taylor, and, most notably, Ralph Lauren. Barrett was one of the star models featured in Lauren’s 50th anniversary show at the recently concluded New York Fashion Week.
Barrett, like Burke, brings charm, charisma and constructive criticism to the contestants in this season’s show, and his presence gives the men in the competition high hopes for bucking the trend should one of them emerge the winner in an industry dominated by women. The show, which premiered two weeks ago, is already getting rave reviews, with social media spouting off as to who they believe will take the title. The ‘every man/woman for him/herself’ battle continues for the next six weeks.
