West Kingston Power Partners launches inaugural Energy Debating Competitio­n

WEST KINGSTON Power Partners (WKPP), on Thursday, September 20, launched WKPP’s inaugural Energy Debating Competitio­n.

Under the theme ‘Young Minds Powering Jamaica’s Energy Future’, JEP’s affiliate provided students, teachers, sponsors, and other guests with a complete overview of the competitio­n, implemente­d to provide students with a platform to express their views, develop their reasoning skills, boost their confidence, and gain insight into the energy sector.

The competitio­n comprises eight secondary schools from western Kingston, which will vie for first place by articulati­ng various arguments on topics regarding the energy sector. The confirmed schools include Dunoon Park Technical High School, Wolmer’s Boys School, St George’s College, Tivoli Gardens High School, Kingston College, Clan Carthy High School, Kingston High School, and St Andrew Technical High School.
