JSE MARKET SUMMARY

In Thursday’s trading session the following reflect the movement of the JSE Indices:

The JSE Combined Index declined by 9,175.02 points (2.31%) to close at 388,040.72.

The JSE Index declined by 10,018.84 points (2.54%) to close at 384,529.46.

The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 10,996.27 points (2.54%) to close at 422,043.60.

The JSE Select Index declined by 356.34 points (3.46%) to close at 9,950.67.

The Junior Market Index advanced by 2.46 points (0.08%) to close at 3,168.22.

The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.99 points (0.59%) to close at 166.37.

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 53 stocks of which 20 advanced, 30 declined and three traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 2,981,918 units valued at over $49,198,163.87. Sygnus Credit Investments Limited USD was the volume leader with 1,801,000 units (60.40%), followed by Stationary and Office Supplies Limited with 598,389 units (20.07%) and Indies Pharma Jamaica Limited with 411,391 units (13.80%).
