Nestlé brings holiday joy to lucky shoppers

-

NESTLE JAMAICA Limited (NJL) recently dispatched ‘secret shoppers’ to three supermarkets to identify 24 lucky shoppers for their Nestlé Brings Joy holiday outreach initiative.

These undercover carriers of merriment scouted the stores for prospects, approached them at the point of sale, and covered the cost for their groceries. The lucky shoppers were chosen from Hi-Lo, Burke Road, Spanish Town; Shoppers Fair, Brunswick Avenue, Spanish Town, and Lee’s Food Fair, Washington Boulevard.

“Nestlé Jamaica values its customers’ contribution to the success of the company and rejoices at their genuine enjoyment of ‘good food, good life’ from the suite of Nestlé products. Our idea of giving back during this festive season to our loyal consumers is giving joy – and the best way to bring forth this Yuletide jubilance is to pay it forward, by doing just that; paying these shoppers’ bills in totality,” said a release from Nestlé.

Nestlé Jamaica human resources business partner David Heath, who was one of the secret shoppers, said, “At NJL, we have a commitment of enriching the lives of our customers, and as such, the Nestlé Brings Joy Initiative is just another way to do so. As we know, it is the season for giving, and in keeping with that, Nestlé Brings Joy had us meeting up with customers who might not have been able to cover all the expenses they had wished for this holiday, and as a small token of our appreciation, the Nestlé family is extending an arm of love to our consumers in these supermarkets,” he noted.

Nestlé Jamaica Country Manager Daniel Caron pointed out that corporate social responsibility is an important part of its activations on the local and global agenda. “We want our customers and consumers to feel joy at Christmas, the same joy they bring to us when they tell us how much they love our products. Jamaicans have served us as employees and as consumers, so we must return the love – and what better way than to give them a little more in their baskets this holiday?” he shared.
