Sagicor fashionably raising funds
THE SAGICOR Foundation has reintroduced the beautiful and fashionable charm bracelets as part of its Sigma Run store items in a bid to raise funds for its signature charity road race – the Sagicor Sigma Run.
The bracelets, designed by Gianna Fakhourie of Original Arm Candy, are not only for a good cause but will accentuate the fashion sense of event supporters who wish to be stylish while giving back.
The attractive arm candies are available for purchase at the Sagicor Sigma Run Secretariat located on the ground floor of the R. Danny Williams Building, Sagicor Group Jamaica Head Office in New Kingston. Each bracelet costs $2,500.
SALE PROCEEDS
All the proceeds from the sale of the bracelets will go towards meeting the $52 million fundraising target that will benefit the 2019 Sigma Run beneficiaries: The May Pen Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Lupus Foundation of Jamaica, and the Diabetes Foundation of Jamaica.
“This year, the bracelets are extra special as we have added a new charm – the butterfly on our purple bracelets, which is representative of the lupus disease. While they are fashion statements, the meaning behind them runs so much deeper,” shared Simone Walker, vice-president, group marketing, Sagicor Group Jamaica, and executive director of the Sagicor Foundation.
“These bracelets are a beautiful and tangible representation of the contribution made to assist in the development of Jamaica’s health sector,” Walker added.
