Gustazos accepting donations for Sigma Run

WITH THE 2019 Sagicor Sigma Corporate run around the corner, those wishing to donate to the cause can now use the Gustazos (Jamaica) website to do so.

Gustazos (Jamaica) launched the donation drive on Tuesday, giving persons the option to donate to the cause starting at a minimum of J$250. There is also the option for persons to donate in $500 and $1,000 denominations. There is no limit to how much and the number of times persons can donate.

The website is another fundraising avenue for the Sagicor Foundation as all profits made from donations will be go to the foundation to assist the beneficiaries of the 2019 Sigma Run: the Lupus Foundation of Jamaica, the Diabetes Association of Jamaica, and the May Pen Hospital’s Neonatal Unit.

Alysia White, Sigma team lead and assistant vice-president, Sagicor Jamaica group marketing, is encouraging the public to donate using the platform.

“We recognise that there are many persons, locally and overseas, who want to support the cause but want an accessible and easy way to do so. Therefore, we are so grateful to Gustazos for coming on board so everyone has an opportunity to contribute to a great cause,” she said.

The option of using Gustazos for donations will be available until today and will reopen on February 15 until race day, Sunday, February 17.

The public can also contribute to the 2019 beneficiaries using direct deposits, cash drop-offs, and wire transfers at any Sagicor Bank branch.

Gustazos has been in operation since 2016 and operates out of four Caribbean countries and the Canary Islands.

Donating via Gustazos (Jamaica) is an easy three-step process and is convenient for on-the-go professionals. The simple steps can be completed using a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.

Step 1: Go to www.gustazos.com and create an account. For those who already have an account, click ‘My Account’ in the top right corner and sign in. If you do not have an account, click ‘My Account’ and create one.

Step 2: Click ‘Donate’ in the Sagicor banner that runs across the top of the page. This will take you to the payment page, where you can select a payment method and the amount you wish to donate.

Step 3: Once the amount and payment method are input, deductions from your account will be made, and the process is complete!
