Connecting with our consumers

- Frank James Domestic Foods CEO

FOR 50 years, Grace Kitchens has established itself as an innovative, pace-setting, life-enhancing, and game-changing unit within Grace Foods Domestic and, indeed, across the GraceKennedy Group.

This was the vision of its founder, former Chairman and CEO Hon Carlton Alexander. He wanted Grace Kitchens to be the vehicle that provided a direct link to serve and connect with our consumers, and that goal has been met, and exceeded!

Thanks to Grace Kitchens, we got the pioneering ‘Creative Cooking’ programme, Jamaica’s first local television cooking show, thanks to Dr Heather Little-White, the conceptualiser. The show was then taken to unparalleled levels by Chef Mazie Miller.

Having started our Sports Nutrition Programme in 1975, we remain heavily involved in sports as title sponsor of the Issa/ GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Championships, assisting with fuelling our athletes through good food so that they can perform optimally.

And who can forget the pride we felt when Grace Kitchens travelled with The Reggae Boyz to France in 1998 and with Jamaica’s National Athletics Team to the Rio and London Olympics in 2012 and 2016 as official Food and Nutrition Sponsor!

Grace Kitchens has made a significant impact on Jamaica and around the world. Numerous awards speak to that impact. Our dedicated Consumer Feedback and Satisfaction programme confirms the unit’s success as the feedback from our consumers speaks to ‘world-class’ service and attention.

None of this would have been possible without an amazing team. I salute them on being the best part of this fantastic company, and I know that they have much more in store as we look forward to another 50!

Congratulations, Grace Kitchens!
