Grants Town cops not curbing noise nuisance

-

THE EDITOR, Sir:

FOR THE past several years, I have been appealing to various senior police personnel, including inspectors and superintendents, as well as petitioning the Office of the Commissioner of Police directly, to clamp down on the loud noise plaguing us from a particular location in Grants Town, St Mary.

This disturbing activity takes place at various hours of the day, and at nights, without warning!

I am aware that the police have made attempts on a few occasions to handle the situation, but then the terrible noises resurge with full force every few hours, or for a few days. It is apparent that whatever admonition that’s given by the police to the perpetrators is not taken seriously, and so the nuisance continues unabated!

I am once again appealing to the relevant authorities to do their job effectively and protect us. M. JAMES TARP Grants Town, St Mary
