Kenyan president on three-day state visit

KENYAN PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta and his wife, Margaret, arrived in Jamaica at the Norman Manley Internatio­nal Airport yesterday for a threeday state visit.

Kenyatta and his delegation were greeted on arrival by Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, Prime Minister Andrew Holness and other state officials.

The half-hour welcome festivitie­s were marked with cannon salutes.

During his stay, Kenyatta is expected to visit the Denbigh Agricultur­al, Industrial and Food Show as Holness’ guest today, which is dubbed ‘Prime Minister Day’.
