THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON TUESDAY, Independence Day, Nationwide 90FM Radio came out with guns blazing, and set the place on fire with some glorious moments of festival celebration.

I am not being biased against the other radio stations because they, too, had done their part, but truly, Nationwide 90FM put the icing on the cake. It was a wonderful package of good entertainment.

First, Nationwide gave us a few historical, emancipation stories, along with some lovely religious and culture songs. Then, it ‘bruck out’ with some of the best festival songs, including a few of Eric Donaldson’s, Roy Rayon’s, Toot & The Maytals’, and others. We got a bellyful.

Apart from our festival music, I am inviting the readers to go on YouTube, when they have the time, and listen to these songs:

• Roy Shirley, Flying reggae & the

Mighty Vikings (Medley)

• The Ethiopians: The Whip,

(Remix); Train to Skaville

• Johnny Clarke: Hold on,

(extended with the baddest). • The Federals: Penny for Your Song.

Toots & the Maytals: Scare Him, Scare Him.

Freddy McKay & Lizzy: Love is a treasure.

Prince Buster: Judge Dread – The Ten Commandments – and many more good ones. Music is life. Good and clean music is one of the greatest entertainments.

Thanks again, Nationwide, and also to the other radio stations, for entertaining us.
