Shafted at KFC Santa Cruz

-

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IS THERE anywhere in Jamaica that you can go without being robbed, scammed or taken advantage of?

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, I went to the KFC in Santa Cruz. While placing an order, I was told that I could not get any cole slaw with my purchase (even though the meal states that cole slaw is mandatory) as they had run out, but I would still have to pay the full cost of the meal! I did buy the three meals and paid the full cost.

I asked if I could get something as a replacement, but this request was denied. Now it’s not the money that has me irked. It’s the principle and this feeling that most businesses in Jamaica feel like they can take you for a ride!

So guess what? The $2,000-plus that I used to spend religiously every Friday at KFC will now be spent at the jerk man. At least he will give me what I pay for. D.C. Santa Cruz
