COOKING UP culinary wonders that will, simply put, take you to Eatopia, is local vegan chef Kharief Hyde.

Hyde specialises in exotic, delicious, and unique vegan dishes, which he and his team offer through a catering company, Eatopia Vegan Cuisine.

The two-year-old food haven has cemented its place in the hearts of those who prefer to indulge in wholesome goodness from plants as well as curious foodies who want to explore great flavours.

Eatopia Vegan Cuisine started out whipping up and delivering authentic and scrumptious dishes to foodies. Now, the Kingston, based establishment is focusing solely on catering.

VEGAN TREATS

You’ll see Eatopia Vegan mostly at events. To date, its greatest accomplishment is serving foodies at the 2017 staging of Rebel Salute. But that does not mean that you can’t enjoy the appetising offerings. How about inviting Eatopia Vegan over to your home to cook up a luscious storm for your special events. Speaking to Food recently, the expert cook raved about his superb skills.

“We try to add a bit of culinary touch to our food and be creative. That’s because vegan food is standard in Jamaica. If you go to the average restaurant, you’ll get the typical stew or chunks, but we are very diverse with our offerings,” he said.

Hyde also likes to experiment in the kitchen to create new and exciting dishes. He knows how to mix flavours so you surely will not be disappointed.

Take, for example, his famous breadfruit crusted pizza, which can be topped with anything, including ackee.

Eatopia Vegan Cuisine even crosses borders, tapping into other cuisines just to give you flavourful options. However, it focuses predominantly Italian dishes that are exceptional.

In addition to treating your taste buds to a mouth-watering feast, Eatopia aims to please with a complete euphoric experience.

“We also aim to stand out. And we want to show you that vegan food is very healthy and extremely tasty,” he said.
