Lifelong learners
IT IS my pleasure to extend heartiest congratulations to Hillel Academy on achieving 50 years of service to developing the human capital of Jamaica.
Indeed, the school has played an integral role to inspire well-rounded, problem-solving, lifelong learners and confident global citizens to lead in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Hillel Academy offers a diverse education structure focusing not only on the educational aspect of a child’s development, but also on the child’s physical, moral, and critical thinking capabilities through an array of co-curricular activities.
As the largest international school in Jamaica, Hillel nurtures students from 43 nationalities between the ages of three and 19 years old. The school has sought to engage students through the provision of a well-resourced and beautiful environment. Through imparting the core values of P.R.I.D.E., the school has taught the students Personal responsibility for their words and actions, Respect for themselves and the environment, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy, surely doing its best to make each student the best version of himself or herself.
Undeniably, Hillel has played its part in nation building by producing well-rounded individuals who are making meaningful contributions in several disciplines in the private and public sectors globally.
I encourage present students to follow the advice of the qualified individuals charged with the responsibility of imparting your education. I also commend the school’s director, Michael Thompson, and staff for moulding the life of each student for a brighter future.
As Hillel Academy celebrates its golden jubilee, I urge you to hold close to your hearts the words of the school motto ‘Learning for Living’. Continue that driving force to inspire students to discover their passions and understand the importance of the academic challenge.
Best wishes for the future.
