Self less and countless acts of kindness

- TRIBUTE TO A DEAR UNCLE

IT IS with deepest sorrow and sadness that I write this tribute. He was an uncle in a million. My uncle was humble, kind, loving, caring, and good at heart and soul. I still can’t believe I am writing a tribute because of his passing. Words cannot describe how difficult this moment is. I write these words with the knowledge that I consider myself blessed to have lived this life as your niece

Many lives were touched by his selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. His dedication to a cause was what sets him apart.

He took many under his wings, including me, and the benefits of his hard work are a living testament for all of us.

My uncle was, and will always be, an inspiration to me.

His love for us is one that is only comparable to that of a mother; this is so because it’s indescribable.

I can still remember the joyful countenance he always exhibited whenever he saw us, the cheerfulness in him, and the unending generosity that was his unique identity.

Our joys knew no bounds whenever we saw him; he was always ready to listen to, and give positive advice on, our problems, large or small.

I will always remember him for the joviality he always exhibited; he fostered unity in us as a family.

While I mourn today, I also take comfort in the fact that his life was well lived. I bid him farewell until we meet again. ROSE YVONNE B LA GROVE Favourite Niece
