MOCA charges finance ministry staff member

The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service has said that a member of staff was arrested on Monday after reportedly corruptly soliciting and accepting funds from a member of the public to facilitate the fast-tracking of the motor vehicle duty concession approval process.

The staff member, who was charged by the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), was offered bail and is to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on May 20.
