JSE COMBINED MARKET SUMMARY

In Thursday’s trading session the following reflects the movement of the JSE Indices:

• The JSE Index advanced by 1,037.82 points (0.27%) to close at 392,606.23 points

• The Junior Market Index advanced by 25.36 points (0.58%) to close at 4,361.52 points

• The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,196.84 points (0.30%) to close at 406,294.44 points

• The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 1,595.11 points ( 0.35 %) to close at 451,352.52 points

• The JSE Select Index advanced by 17.84 points (0.17%) to close at 10,288.89 points

• The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 11.85 points (5.32%) to close at 211.01 points

• The JSE Cross Listed Index declined by 0.13 points (0.21%) to close at 62.18 points

• The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.72 points (0.77%) to close at 94.15 points

• The JSE Manufacturing & Distribution Index declined by 0.65 points (0.59%) to close at 109.45 points.

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 107 stocks of which 40 advanced, 48 declined and 19 traded firm.

The JA$ market volume (excluding blocks) amounted to 28,049,770 units valued at $187,717,805.70. The US$ market volume (excluding blocks) amounted to 257,178 units valued at $48,070.05.

The overall volume leaders were: DERRIMON TRADING COMPANY LIMITED with 11,564,072 units (40.85%); LUMBER DEPOT LIMITED with 1,911,005 units (6.75%); and QWI INVESTMENTS LIMITED with 1,654,568 units (5.85%).
