How long have you worked at Chas. E. Ramson Limited?

I have been working with Chas. E. Ramson Limited for 30 years.

What is your favourite memory of working with the company?

There are so many fun memories but if I should choose one, it would have to be our Foska Fun Run that started from Manor Park and ended at Police Officers’ Club, Hope Road, back in the day. While I was there to work, it was an event I would look forward to, seeing people competing and having fun. It was the type of event that staff islandwide, participants and patrons would eagerly anticipate each year because the energy around it was always buzzing and full of excitement.

What is your favourite product and why?

My favourite product is Foska Oats, of course; it’s very versatile. One can use for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s a staple in every household. Foska is in every single store and there is always a sale for it.

What was your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge is the process of getting a new customer signed up. While I understand the required due diligence to get the business relationship going between customer and company, the wait time is usually extremely lengthy. This oftentimes negatively affects my sales quota. For example, limitations on what can be sold and when.

What keeps you motivated after so many years?

Happy to be a part of a diverse and successful organisation for the past 30 years. Additionally, the bond I share with my colleagues, the relationships I maintain with my customers and a supportive management team that aids in me being the best version of myself. Being at Ramson’s makes me feel a part of a family. “We are family!”

Can you suggest any changes for the company for the next 100 years?

To cultivate a stronger company-to-customer relationship with more effective ways of addressing their issues and concerns.
