Everything is sound with the banks and financial institutions, but the Jamaicans that work there, seeking to build their Rome in a day, wow!

– @shawcopeland

No confidence. What checks and balances do these people have that allow these dishonest employees to teef people hard-earned funds? [We need] Answers please.

– @bannemoss

I don’t trust them, I closed my NCB account after my daughter lost money. [People] Go through so much trouble to open account and then they draw out your money.

With what has transpired with the SSL and the fact that the FSC knew that they weren’t operating as they should and did nothing, I’m not confident at all. The FSC is or should be the oversight body acting in the interest of clients. They have failed miserably, and should also be held accountable!

One at first glance might think this orchestrated fraud is a novelty thus, foolishly ignores the warning bells. One should, however, be sapient in value one’s intelligence by not ceding to the idea this is just a oneoff incident, instead, considering the long-term implication, undermining of the financial system. In recent years, there are several cases of fraud where people were entrusted with people’s money, used their position of public trust and stole customers’ money from various financial institutions. Therefore, there are great reasons for everyone to be concerned and prudent, thus pull out their monies from the various financial institutions. It won’t be surprising waking up learning that the entire banking system collapse. Trust no one in Jamaica. Weigh your options – be appeasers to fraudsters and lose all your savings, or be wise, remove it.

– @Chris Lewis

Little to no confidence even before all these cases coming out. These institutions give back little to nothing to customers.

– @Tanisha Nikki Rose

Not very! I think I would do just as well with a well-built safe, wall or floor installation at home. At least I would know what’s happening to my funds.

Most commercial banks have collateral, that make me feel comfortable with my investments. SSL was flimsy from the get-go.

– @summahouse876

Nil!! Dem a scammer long time! I only sorry for the honest employees cause the paintbrush a cover everybaddy!

– @sherylg2k

A few months ago the general consensus is people had no money to invest. Anyone with investment ought to be concerned.
