WOMEN ROB MAN OF DRINKS MONEY

-

Anight of merriment with liquor and dancing girls at a bar ended sourly for a driver who was unable to pay for the alcohol after the women reportedly took his cash.

The accused Lesley Knight of a Red Hills Road address pleaded guilty with explanation in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court to obtaining credit by fraud on Thursday.

“I was at the bar having some rum with two girls and we did a dance. One deh and the front and one deh a the back,” Knight explained which caused amusement in court.

He told Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey that on the day, he had $ 4,100 in his pockets before he started dancing with the girls but the money could not be found after the dance, nor could the girls.

He realised the money missing when it was time for him to pay for the alcohol he ordered. He told the court he decided to leave the bar to go elsewhere to get some money to pay his debt and left his driver’s licence with the bartender to assure her he would return.

However, the police were still called and the man charged.

He was also found in possession of an ounce of ganja by the lawmen. Knight was ordered to pay $ 100 or serve ten days for the ganja.

He made restitution to the complainant so a no order was made for the obtaining credit by fraud charge.
