2,000 Digicel customers win in Christmas promo

-

It was an early Christmas celebration for more than 2,000 Digicel customers, the first set of customers to win data plans, 4G enabled handsets, supermarket vouchers, and cash in the telecommunications provider’s ‘Brighten Someone’s Christmas’ promotion.

Happiest among the 2,000 winners was Rachael Lee Francis, who proudly picked up her $J1 million cheque recently from the Digicel head office, downtown Kingston.

Lee Francis, a registered nurse, was very excited, describing how she celebrated the good news.

“The moment I realised I had won, I started celebrating with my two-year-old, who did not understand why mommy was so happy, but celebrated with me nonetheless.

TREATING MYSELF

“I am definitely treating myself to something I have always wanted, but I will also put some money aside to secure some items necessary for me to complete my critical-care nursing programme.”

Joining Rachael in the celebrations was Kevon Hartley, 19, the first winner of one of the newest Android phones on the market, the BLU Life Play Phone.

Kevon, who was excited to win a Digicel promotion for the first time, said: “This is my first time winning something from Digicel and I am so excited about winning this phone.”

Commenting on the promotion, Annalise Harewood, Digicel’s head of recharge, said, “This is just the beginning of the promotion and we are very happy with the feedback from the winners and customers, in general.

“We encourage customers to participate in the promotion because every week we are giving away $1million, shopping vouchers for customers to stock up on their Christmas groceries, plus data plans and the latest smartphones in the market.”

To qualify to win the aforementioned prizes, customers should top up with $120, or more, on their prepaid devices, pay their 4G broadband bills in full and on time, talk for 10 minutes on their postpaid devices, and purchase a handset or device before the promotion ends in January.
