Specialist drops new single
Chart-topping dancehall artiste, Specialist, recently released a brand-new single, Mr Poor.
The track, produced by ace dancehall producer, Skatta Burrell, for Downsound Records, is generating a buzz on the local dancehall scene.
“This song is poised to be a big song in the dancehall. Since it drop, everyone is talking about it. I can tell it is going to be a big hit,” said Specialist.
The talented Spanish Town, St Catherine, native burst on to the local music scene two years ago with the monster hit Street Hustle.
He has compiled a handful of hits including Dweet, done in tandem with Ninja Man; Mood For Love, featuring Ishawna; Gallis Anthem; and Street Juggle.
“From day one, I have been making hits. Over the last two years, I have recorded a lot of big tunes. The fans know they can rely on me to come up with good songs all the time. That is why they love me so much,” said the artiste.
Specialist is booked to appear on the 30th staging of Sting, December 26, at Jamworld, in Portmore, St Catherine.
“Sting is a show that I always look forward to. It’s a major event and every dancehall artiste wants to shine at Sting. This year it is going to be even bigger, so I plan to go over there and deliver a performance that will top all my previous performances at Sting,” he said.
