JoJo Mac excited about roots album release
Jamaica-born singer JoJo Mac, who is based in the United States, was a big hit at the recently held Gateway of Nations – Unity Cup Soccer finals hosted by Mayor of Philadelphia Jim Kenney and the city of Philadelphia.
The classy songstress delivered an exciting performance which left everyone who attended the event in awe, including the mayor and the other organisers of the event.
“JoJo Mac is awesome. Her performance was very entertaining and everyone loved it,” said the production manager of the event, Kenneth Earle.
Meanwhile, the talented singer is looking forward to the release of her roots debut album which is scheduled to come out early next year. The album will feature songs produced by Lloyd ‘Pickout’ Dennis for his label, Pickout Records.
JoJo Mac is currently promoting the first single off the album, a t hought- provoking roots reggae track titled Poverty.
“I’m so excited about this album. I can’t wait for its release. There are some very powerful songs on it. I think I finally found my niche. We recently released the title track as the first single,” said JoJo Mac.
The singer has also been busy working on writing projects for other artistes. She is credited as one of the writers on the recently released Black Uhuru and Agent Sasco collaboration titled Stronger, which was produced by BBC 1Xtra DJ
