Junglists hunt Harbour View at ‘Compound’

- MARC STAMP STAR Writer

Harbour View will look to break their three-match winless streak when they face Arnett Gardens in the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) second-round tomorrow at Harbour View, starting at 7 p.m.

The Stars of the East are having a difficult time following defeats to Reno, Arnett and Portmore United. The Ricardo ‘Bibi’ Gardner-coached team will look to ease some pressure with a positive result playing at their ‘Compound’ home turf.

Harbour View key players include Kemar Bennett, Nicholas Beckett, Sheldon McKoy and Hugh Evans.

Coach of Arnett Gardens, Jerome ‘Jerry’ Waite, said that despite Harbour View losing three consecutive games, he will not take them lightly.

“Based on the last game, we definitely know what Harbour View has to offer. At the same time they have felt what Arnett team is about,” Waite told STAR Sports.

NOT BE COMPLACENT

“Despite Harbour View losing their last three games, they will be pumped up to play against Arnett. We will be going there to play 90 plus minutes. We will not be complacent,” he added.

“Our aim is to maintain the unbeaten run. The team showed character in the last game against Cavalier coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2. We are a goal scoring team, so we find ways to score goals,” Waite pointed out.

Arnett will again be without national midfielder Marvin Morgan Jr and Lennox Russell, who is the league’s joint leading scorer. Both players are on the injured list.

The ‘Junglists’ will rely on captain and central defender Oneil ‘Bigga’ Thompson, creative midfielder Vishinul Harris and national striker Fabian Reid.
