Deceased driver identified

The St Catherine North police have identified the driver who perished in a motor vehicle crash along the Linstead Bypass in St Catherine on Sunday.

He is Dejaneo Richards, 21year-old of Lumsden district, Bamboo, St Ann.

Reports are that about 3:25 p.m., Richards was driving a 1991 Nissan motor car along the road.

Reports are that upon reaching the entrance to Swamp Lane, he overtook another motorist and slammed into the front of an International motor truck travelling in the opposite direction.

Richards was rushed to Linstead Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
