Deceased driver identified

The St Catherine North police have identified the driver who perished in a motor vehicle crash along the Linstead Bypass in St Catherine on Sunday.

He is Dejaneo Richards, 21year-old of Lumsden district, Bamboo, St Ann.

Reports are that about 3:25 p.m., Richards was driving a 1991 Nissan motor car along the road.

Reports are that upon reaching the entrance to Swamp Lane, he overtook another motorist and slammed into the front of an Internatio­nal motor truck travelling in the opposite direction.

Richards was rushed to Linstead Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
