WINNING SOULS FOR THE LORD
BAccording to the church leader, his work at the Scott’s Pass church and the experience he gained there resulted in him being promoted to district overseer for the Rock River District of New Testament Churches, and currently, he is serving in a similar capacity for the Frankfield New Testament Church of God District of Churches, which comprises seven churches. ishop Hopeton Jarrett hails from Cobbla in the parish of Manchester. He is a member of the Cobbla New Testament Church of God and has been a member since he surrendered
toTestimony his life Jesus Christ at age 12.
Jarrett shared that he has had no regrets surrendering his life to the Lord at such a tender age because his walk with Him has been rewarding and spiritual. He has also pledged allegiance to the Man who now controls his life and his heart.
“I gave my heart to the Lord at 12 years old, and I have been an ardent Christian throughout the years,” Jarrett testified with confidence.
Jarrett’s walk with the Lord has seen him grow spiritually to the extent that he was appointed pastor by the Executive Council of the New Testament Church of God in Jamaica, the Cayman Island and Belize, which is headed by Administrative Bishop Dr Wellesley Blair. Jarrett has served the Scott’s Pass New Testament Church as pastor for more than 10 years.
WINNING SOULS
The ordained bishop testified that his ministry has won many souls for the Lord over the years. He reported that he has been faithful to the Lord, and He has allowed him to witness many souls being saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost.
“I have witnessed wonders being wrought by the power of the Holy Ghost, and I have benefited from the healing hands of God,” Jarrett said.
He shared that God worked many miracles in his life, and he shared that God’s healing power reached him about seven years ago.
“I witnessed God’s healing power in September of 2010 while I was ill and was slated to do surgery. On the morning of the surgery, while I was being transported to the operating theatre, electricity went, shutting down all equipment there,” he said.
The church leader said that surgery was set to be done at the National Chest Hospital in St Andrew. He said that God saw that he should not have done the surgery, so the He showed up and healed his servant.
Jarrett added that the Lord moved in a mighty way, preventing the surgery from taking place and healing him instantly. So, today, he is preaching the word of God as he seeks to win the lost at any cost for his Maker. Feedback: pehenrya@hotmail.com
