Riche Stephens motivates ‘You are The Greatest’

-

Five years ago, he poured his heart into an emotional tribute song titled Live Your Life that was released weeks after his son Demar Graham (Copper Cat) was brutally gunned down outside his home in Kingston. The song, which was recorded with his friend Gentleman, topped the reggae charts in New York, Florida, Atlanta, Toronto, London and Jamaica.

Stephens has again unleashed his musical magic — this time delivering another emotional scorcher titled You are The Greatest, recorded at his Pot Of Gold Studios in Kingston. He co-produced the track with Serani, and penned it with singjay Wayne Marshall and Professor.

“You are The Greatest is a song that is necessary at this time, given what is taking place with our troubled youths of Jamaica and across the globe. It is to advise them that they are the greatest, and nobody can shatter their dreams” Stephens said.

“It’s a radio-friendly song with a heartfelt message that is getting spins on stations here in Jamaica, New York and around the world. Fans have fully embraced it!” he disclosed.

The new track was released ahead of Stephens’ highly anticipated debut performance at the annual Best Of The Best concert in Miami on Memorial Sunday, May 27, featuring Shenseea, Ding Dong, Romain Virgo, Masicka, Ghost, Bunji Garlin, Fayann Lyons, Aidonia, Capleton and Mavado. Later this summer, he treks to Europe with the Ska Nation band for what promises to be a full-throttle performance on July 8 at the popular Summer Jam festival in Cologne, Germany. A.T.
