RJRGLEANER still unbeaten in Business House dominoes

The RJRGLEANER Communications Group has no intention to ease up in its quest to capture the Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Business House Division Two Domino League for the first time.

The news men are unbeaten after six consecutive victories in Zone A. They have easily qualified for the quarter-final stage with two preliminary round games remaining.

Eric Channer, RJRGLEANER Communications Group domino captain, maintained that the plan is to go all the way and win the title unbeaten to add to titles won in the Division One competition in the past.

“Our approach in the league is to win all games and although we are already in the quarterfinal, it is still the intention to continue our winning momentum,” Channer told STAR Sports.

“We have a deep squad with quality players and that is the main reason that we are winning games. We can rotate the players in the games because the squad is big,” he explained.

“I am confident in the team’s ability to win the league as long as the players are not distracted. We just need to keep focused on each game. We can win the league easily. The results, so far, show that we are bigger than Division Two,” Channer confidently said.

The RJRGLEANER Communications Group will next play National Housing Trust (NHT) in a return game today at the NHT.

In the first round, RJRGLEANER won by 13 points at The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited sports club. And, the captain says he is bracing for another tough test.

“We will be going there with a different approach against NHT as we cannot take them lightly. They gave us a good fight in the first round at The Gleaner. Now, we are expecting another tough game,” Channer said.
