Former RIU entertainment coordinator, 24-year-old Demar Scott, who was recently charged with raping two guests at the hotel, is now facing more heat.

This, as he is now in the custody of the St Elizabeth police to be questioned by detectives in connection with an incident committed in the Castleton area of the Balaclava community in 2012.

The disclosure was made by the acting head of the St Elizabeth Police Division, Deputy Superintendent Leroy Minott, while addressing the monthly meeting of the St Elizabeth Municipal Corporation.

SIX YEARS AGO

Minott said that Scott is likely to be charged with rape and other crimes committed in Balaclava in 2012.

“Forensic evidence has linked Scott to the incident involving rape, burglary, and robbery in Balaclava six years ago,” Minott said.

The Manchester police are also awaiting the arrival of Scott from St Elizabeth, as he will be placed on identification parades in relation to six rape cases in Mandeville last year.

Scott, who was charged last week by the St James police with two counts of rape, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, assault and grievous sexual assault, was earlier this week remanded when he appeared in the St James Parish Court.
