Starface’s ‘Fi Di Wuk’ video creating buzz

-

Dancehall artiste Starface is again commanding attention with the release of her latest music video, ‘Fi Di Wuk’.

The song is a counteraction to Rygin King’s Tuff, and with the video incorporating the acting skills of a little person, it has been creating quite a buzz on the music scene.

In an interview with THE STAR, the entertainer revealed she had to ensure the music video attracted the same amount of excitement as the song, or even more.

She revealed that although using ‘little people’ in music videos is not new, she believed it would make her video stand out because of the song’s message.

Pointing out that the song is about a man’s ‘shortcomings’ in bed, Starface said she thought it would be fun to use the little person to highlight that one’s sexual prowess is not determined by one’s physical appearance.

“I wanted a video that was funny, and because I mention that some men are ‘short’ in certain ways, I thought this was a clever way to portray that,” she said. “As for the backlash, it wasn’t a concern because I see everyone as equals, so a little person deserves the break like anyone else.

Although you will always have some people who view things in a different way than you do, the reaction so far has been mostly positive. I welcome and respect everyone’s opinion.”

Pointing out that she has a special love for acting, the entertainer said she wanted this music video to showcase her talent as an actress as well.

“I love acting as much as I love music. The concepts just come naturally once I start to think about doing a video. This song has been doing well and the video will push it even further, so I had to make it memorable,” she said.

The video was shot and directed by Yaadboii Films.
