Niney Vennam to launch remix video

-

Portmore-based dancehall artiste Niney Vennam will be hosting a video release party for the hip-hop remix of his single ‘History Repeat’ at Tracks and Records on December 31.

“This event is going to be lit, and it will give people a chance to see the video of History Repeat, featuring top rapper Uncle Murda. It will be an EP launch as well, and I will be performing a number of tracks,” Niney Vennam said.

Up-and-coming artiste Veli is also slated to perform.

Niney Vennam has built up a decent underground following in local dancehall circles with singles such as History Repeat and We Have It. Both singles were released on the Fire Royal Records imprint earlier this year.

Earlier this year, Niney landed a major boost to his career as rapper Uncle Murda took an interest in History Repeat.

“The video is really high-energy, and Uncle Murda will be pushing it from his end in New York as part of his own New Year’s Eve celebrations. It’s a great look. This will put dancehall on another level and hopefully lead to more hip hop-collaborations,” said Omar Cambridge, Niney Vennam’s manager.

The artiste was born in 1990, and spent his early years living in the volatile community of Tivoli Gardens. He attended St Albans Primary School and later graduated from Denham Town High School.

He currently resides in Portmore and is working extensively with Creg Henclewood, owner and operator of Fire

Royal Records.
