King Charlz shows emotions on new project

-

Florida-based singer and songwriter King Charlz released his debut album, ‘Still Searching’, last December. The eight-track set features production work from J Vibe, JLL, Kris Karz and DJ Blade.

“I had a great opportunity to work with some extremely talented producers in the game right now. They have a certain sound that I love and would like to keep around for a long time,” said King Charlz.

Still Searching was released by VALHOLLA Entertainment, a company that King Charlz has been working with for the past two years.

“I have been working with them to perfect my sound a little over two years now. I’m grateful that they allowed me to figure myself out when it came to my music. I was a bit confused as to what genre of music to pursue until I found my own sound,” King Charlz added, noting that the album is currently available on all digital platforms.

He also explained that the title of his album was inspired by how lonely he was feeling at the time.

“The title of the album is an actual track title from the album. Still Searching came about as a result of me expressing how I was feeling at the time. I had just ended a toxic relationship not too long before I wrote that song. I still had the lonely feeling every so often though, so I was searching for true love at the time, so to speak,” said King Charlz, who once resided in Spanish Town, and attended Kingston College before migrating to South Florida 10 years ago.

While listening to the album that took him two years to complete, King Charlz said that fans can expect a harmonic journey through his inner thoughts

“I describe my music as being an open expression of my thoughts. I write about the things that I go through on a regular basis. If I see something interesting going on or if I’m feeling a particular way, it will definitely show in my lyrics and melodies,” said the artiste, who plays several instruments, including the piano,

guitar and drums.
