‘Par­ty­ing’ mom to re­turn to court in March

Joelle Clay­ton, the woman who aban­doned her four­month-old baby in a car as she par­tied last month, will re­turn to court in March.

Clay­ton ap­peared be­fore a judge on Tues­day after she was charged with child en­dan­ger­ment.

The in­fant is re­port­edly be­ing cared for by his ma­ter­nal rel­a­tives.

Re­ports are that a passer-by saw the child in­side the ve­hi­cle cry­ing, and sum­moned the po­lice.

The po­lice, in try­ing lo­cate the par­ents, used a sound sys­tem at the party that was be­ing held in­side Sabina Park, Kingston, to call for the par­ents to come for­ward.

The po­lice also broke the win­dow of the ve­hi­cle in or­der to res­cue the baby.

The child was med­i­cally ex­am­ined and the ve­hi­cle towed.
