Man arrested for damaging police vehicle
Commanding officer, Superintendent Wayne Cameron, said that while quite a few other persons may have been involved, they are in search of two other persons directly responsible for the malicious destruction of the vehicle.
“Both front and back windscreens have been extensively damaged, windows have been smashed and there were two attempts to set the car ablaze. The fire was put out before the car caught fire,” he said.
The damage was caused by angered residents who witnessed the shooting of the bus driver, who attacked a policeman when his vehicle was being towed from the Spaldings town centre.
Cameron revealed that the policeman in question is now on sick leave. The date of his return to work was not disclosed.
