My friend slept with my teenage son

-

Dear Pastor,

I am a regular reader of your column and I have a problem that I would like to mention to you. I am 48 years old. I have three children, two girls and one boy.

I have a friend who is 50 years old. Pastor, when I say she is my friend, we are like sisters. Sometimes when I had to work, she used to stay with my children.

I never thought anything bad about her. Sometimes everybody would crowd in my room and watch television when I was not there.

All my children call her ‘Aunty’. When my son’s voice started to change, we used to laugh and say he was turning into a big man.

One day, my girls mentioned that Aunty and their brother locked them out of her room. When I asked jokingly why she locked them out, she said they did something that she didn’t like and that was their punishment. I let that go and didn’t think anything about it.

Another day, the girls told me that they saw my son and Aunty having sex. Pastor, I am talking about my 18-yearold son.

I asked them how they saw that and they said that they came home from school and when one of them rushed in to use the bathroom, she saw their brother on Aunty and he only had on his shirt.

When she realised that they were in the house, she said, “You all come home early,” and their brother got up and closed the door. They told him that they saw him.

My friend told me that the girls were lying, and that nothing like that went on. I know my children are not lying.

I questioned my son, but he is not saying yes it happened or no it did not happen. So I am asking you for some advice.

S.T.
