ormer Boys’ Town footballer Andre Edwards was shot and killed yesterday. is reported that Edwards, who played for Boys’ Town Under- 20 team last season, was killed by the police in a section of the community called Rema.

The Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force confirmed the incident and said that a Browning 9mm pistol with five rounds of ammunition was recovered from the scene.

Former Boys’ Town coach Andrew Price said that Edwards was a decent player but needed to develop his skills more in order to make the club’s senior team.
