Shawn Storm camp releases ‘Super Hero’ compilation
Last week, the camp of incarcerated dancehall artiste Shawn Storm dropped his latest project, the ‘Super Hero’ rhythm.
The compilation mix, which is now available worldwide, features some of the biggest names on the dancehall scene, including Chronic Law, Sikka Rhymes, Lisa Hyper, Vybz Kartel and never-before-released tracks from Shawn Storm himself.
Speaking on behalf of Shawn Storm, Gaza member and spokesperson Sikka Rhymes said the project is expected to wrap up what he described as a ‘Gaza summer’.
“Gaza start the summer with a bang and so we are ending it with a bang. This rhythm will lead out the school season, going right into winter and beyond,” he said, adding that Shawn Storm was pleased with the project. “The compilation is released under Shawn’s label
(Kwashawna Records) which, is, of course, dedicated to his daughter; so he is very proud. Right now, the Gaza is just about good music. We a leave all negative vibes in the dust.”
The Super Hero rhythm is currently being distributed by veteran music executive Johnny Wonder. Shawn Storm is recognised for his single Life, which has more than four million views on YouTube, and was poised to become one of Vybz Kartel’s top protégé before his incarceration.
