Producer Rado honours Jahvillani with rhythm
Says artiste’s track targets students and teachers
Last Friday, Armz House Records director and producer Everton ‘Rado’ Minott released a new project titled Wild Side Riddim. The juggling features songs from artistes Teejay, Shane
O, Nu Voice, and one of dancehall’s most sought after artistes, Jahvillani.
In fact, according to Rado, the rhythm was made in Jahvillani’s honour.
“The riddim was in fact linked to Jahvillani’s slogan, ‘wile side’ although it might spell
different, the pronunciation and meaning is similar. Jahvillani’s track on the riddim, Hold Di Faith, is a well put together, positive song where each line complements the next, with that said, I thought he had deserved the honour of the having the riddim named off his slogan, ” Rado told THE WEEKEND STAR.
Though the producer has had his name dishonoured in the past, with his arrest in Miami approximately four years ago, on what could be called ‘arms house’ charges, he is predicting that this production, especially Jahvillani’s track, will aid in him regaining good graces.
“The song was released just in time for back to school, to mainly target students and teachers so that they can have something new and positive to listen, ” he said, “I wanted to work with some of the new voices in the industry to show that Armz House Records can still create hit productions despite the calibre or popularity of the artiste that is recorded on the riddim.”
Jahvillani is also predicting that the song will gain a bit of recognition. “The more conscious the lyrics are, people all over will listen, and, right now we ah pree di conscious side of the music and trying to exhibit positive medz for the youth.”
The rhythm is currently on all digital platforms and is distributed mainly by Johnny Wonder 21 Digital Distribution.
