Christopher Martin drops new video
Christopher Martin has released the new video for Dem Vex. The single, off the One Way rhythm, has all the makings of a selfanthem. Martin sheds light on the concept of embracing your successes despite those who are envious and jealous.
The video features Martin in a lot with expensive designer cars, looking like a real superstar, showcasing his jewellery and flashy clothes.
Martin has kept busy with a recent trip to New York for The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) Gala, where he performed in honour of one of his closest friends, Olympic athlete and the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt.
Martin’s latest album And Then debuted at number one on the Billboard Reggae Chart back in May and presents a well-rounded mix of ballads and up-tempo jams. It showcases his musical versatility and growth with a celebration centred around themes of love, rising above hardship, and finding the good in every situation.
Singles off the album include Bun
Fi Bun, Come Back and most recently Life, which he performed on Fox 5’s Good Day New York.
The album also features a standout cover of Mr Big’s 1991 definitive track, To Be With You.
Martin’s re-imagining of the love song is a sweet homage, delivering new meaning to the chart-topping single without losing sight of his powerful ability to connect with audiences across the globe and showcase his versatility as an artiste not confined to one solitary genre.
