Four deaths and 105 news cases of COVID-19

Health authoritie­s reported four deaths and 105 news cases of COVID-19 as Haiti became the first Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country to register more than 1,000 cases in total.

Haiti’s Ministry of Health said in its daily bulletin that the pandemic is “accelerati­ng throughout the national territory” and that the number of people infected in 24 hours “for the first time exceeds the bar of 100 cases to reach 105 new cases, for a total of 1,063”.

As had been the case in previous reports, the Ministry of Health said that men continued to account for the majority of the cases with 60.3 per cent, while women were at 39.7 per cent.
