My girlfriend always wants money

-

Dear Pastor,

I am 20 years old and I have a girlfriend. She is the second girlfriend I have had. I try to give her whatever I can, but she always wants more. I told my mother about her and she told me that

I have to give her money to keep her, otherwise she is going to keep men with me.

Last Friday, I saw her and she asked me for money. I gave her $2,000. She told me to take it back because that amount of money can’t even buy a good underwear.

I told her that my first girlfriend didn’t get anything from me, so she is lucky to get $2,000. She said my first girlfriend didn’t have any sense.

When I told my mother what she said, my mother said I should leave her. But Pastor, it is hard to leave her because she is so sweet.

She is living with her parents, but whenever we meet she always wants me to buy fast food for her. She is getting fatter and fatter every day.

My mother told me I shouldn’t concentrate on women because I am young and I’ll get a better girl very soon.

Sometimes when I ask this girl for sex, she asks me for money. If I don’t have any money, she tells me to wait until I have money. She says that I should remember that she has to carry herself well so that when I leave her, other men will see her.

Pastor, I don’t know what to do, so give me your advice.

E.

Dear E.,

I don’t have much to say to you, young man. You are being counselled by your mother. But her suggestions are being clouded by the fact that she is your mother.

In the first place, she should have told you long ago to walk away from this young woman. Your girlfriend should recognise that, as a young man, you do not have much.

This young woman is behaving as a young prostitute and she has no class. End the relationship with her, and do it now. But please, sir, try to go back to school and get an education. That would suit you much better than having a girlfriend right now.

Pastor
