Live shows return to Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records
When the Government gave the green light for the entertainment sector to reopen earlier this month, proprietors at Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records (UBT&R) in the Marketplace on Constant Spring Road, St Andrew, decided to reignite their live performance sessions.
This Saturday, the venue will usher in the return of their jam sessions with mega talent, Tanya Stephens.
“This is a different concept for Tracks and Records Live, one we are trying for post- COVID. It’s a jam session which is not as live band-oriented and so she (Stephens) will be performing to tracks. People will also be able to just get to hold a vibes with the deejay before and after the performance,” said Angiel Shaw, group marketing manager for KLE Group Limited, the franchise holders of UBT&R.
Shaw said that Stephens, who performed there in December 2019, was the perfect fit for the return of the live shows.
PHENOMENAL TALENT
“We did our last Tracks Live session with her and we had such a great reception that there were a number of requests to have her come back,” she said. “Tanya Stephens is an iconic artiste, a household name who we have built a great relationship with. She is a phenomenal talent that the people just absolutely love and we are sure she will give a great show.”
This will be the first performance show to be held at the venue since the onset of the pandemic, and Shaw says the KLE Group is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to patrons’ safety. She said in addition to temperature checks and sanitisation prior to entry, the event will be limited capacity.
“We will have presold tickets and a few available at the gate but it will be first come, first served,” she said. “We will be using the entire restaurant space, which will be set up to obey socialdistancing rules, and there will be a VIP section.”
