PLEASE COME HOME, KASHEAMA

- SIMONE MORGAN-LINDO STAR Writer

It has been more than a week since the loved ones of 16-year-old Kasheama Donaldson last laid eyes on her. The teenager, who hails from Canary Avenue, off Waltham Park Road in St Andrew, has been missing since August 9.

Her mother, Niokah Barton, said it has been a difficult time, and has appealed to her Kasheama to come home.

“I just want her to come home. She is a well-behaved girl who lights up the any room. She is very jovial and has never ran away from home before, so I really don’t know what’s happening,” Barton said.

She told THE WEEKEND STAR that Kasheama, who is a student at Camperdown High School, was discovered missing by her grandmother about 11:30 p.m. that Monday night. She said that items of clothing belonging to Kasheama and cash amounting to $13,000 was also missing.

Kasheama, who was last seen wearing a black shorts and green top, is of dark complexion, slim built and sports natural hair. Barton said she was told that persons have spotted her daughter in a section of the Corporate Area, but no one can give an exact idea of her location.

“Her cousin said she has been in contact with her on Instagram, but I am still uncertain if she is the one sending the messages saying that she is okay. I can’t really lay my finger on why she would want to run away, but I am pleading with her to return home,” Barton said.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Kasheama Donaldson is being asked to contact the Hunts Bay Police Station at 876 923 7111.
