Chiney-K Pop Girl grateful after Social House win
The first season of the Social House has ended, and it is Chiney-K Pop Girl who received the $1 million prize in her bank account.
“I plan to use the prize money to invest and expand my brand and business, Joli Faire Hair, and expand the brand to be more than hair-related items, but Joli Faire everything,” he said.
“I plan on maybe buying a car,” she said.
Joli Faire Hair is Chiney-K Pop Girl’s natural organic line. The champion, whose given name is Kerry-Ann Collins, described the win as surreal.
“The experience was so humbling, I am grateful, elated, and a loss of words because I did not think I was going to win,” she said. The Social House, a weekly reality series, featured six popular influencers showcasing their creative and entertaining personalities in weekly challenges. Originally, the show featured four contestants — Influencer Chiney K Pop Girl, dancer-turned-reality star TC, YouTuber Quite Perry and comedian Fat Skull.
Later on, with an elimination round in each episode, the contestants were surprised with three new roommates — comedian Prince Pine, YouTuber Petite Sue, and comedian Dan Dan.
Chiney K Pop Girl said that the Social House has helped her to broaden her fanbase.
“Being on the social house helped to introduce me to a lot of people. As they watch the episodes, they slowly got an understanding of who I am … and eventually fell in love with me,” she said.
“I rallied up the troops and I ensured every morning I got my robe and bonnet, frying pan and the spatula, and every morning I woke up everybody [on Instagram] and told them it’s time to vote,” she said.
“I plan to use the prize money to invest and expand my brand and business, Joli Faire Hair, and expand the brand to be more than hair-related items, but Joli Faire everything.”
