LONG, LEAN DOLL

When the dreaded news came from the Ministry of Health and Wellness last March that Jamaica had recorded its first case of COVID-19, dancehall artiste D’Angel, like most persons, wondered about the future. Countries had, by then, begun closing their borders and entertainment shows were being cancelled left, right and centre.

“I started to wonder how I was going to manage, but after that I just jumped into survival mode,” the long, lean doll told THE STAR.

But her concerns were not solely about her. She did an online benefit concert, the proceeds of which she said went to helping 2,000 needy people.

Even as she had her mind on the less fortunate, D’Angel wondered how she was going to make it through. One of the things she did to guarantee her survival was to join OnlyFans, an adult-oriented content subscription service.

“Nuh shame nuh inna my game. A lot of people use pride and dead fi hungry. It’s very tough out there and yuh just have to hold up head and try and do something. A job is a job, and as long as you are not stealing, do what yuh have to do and make a honest bread,” the Stronger singer said.

According to D Angel, the pandemic has taught her valuable lessons, one of which involves thinking ahead and to make use of opportunities presented to her.

“I still managed to keep afloat because I found other opportunities that I can earn from ... . It is something that is working for me, to the point where

I can extend help to my foundation. I have been blessed, so I am sharing my blessings,” she said.

She recently whipped out $16 million to purchase a brand new BMW. The costly ride, she said, is just a treat to herself for all the hard work that she has been putting in. She also stated that she has been able to stay in high demand because of her captivating personality and physical appearance.

“The men dem jus love the long and lean doll. Big up to everybody who do them body, but I am all natural and this is what draw the men them to me. Dem just love me over there. You just have to know when yuh get a blessing, and know that nothing last forever, and know how to captialise on it and expand yourself,” the dancehall entertainer said.

In addition to her new business ventures, D’Angel said she is also focused on her EP, slated to be released later this year. The entertainer, who is celebrating 15 years in the entertainment industry, said that the project, which is titled Exposed, will feature her sexier side.
