Dirtfree is ‘Out and Clean’
Akino Dirtfree has collaborated with the Grammy-nominated producer and artiste, Dane Ray, to create a masterpiece titled Out and Clean.
The single, released on September 3, follows Akino Dirtfree’s successful promo stint of Looseball in the spring of this year. The track narrates the internal showmanship of dancehall — the lifestyle, where fashion and grooming holds prominence and flamboyance, and expensive brands are the highlight of parties. Out and Clean emphasises quality and throws shade at knock-off clothing.
Akino Dirtfree introduces himself in the first verse, boasting his lyrical ability, and is matched with Dane Ray’s creative wordplay and flair in the infectious hook and second verse. Both artistes have been integral in the production and development of the song, with the mix and mastering by popular producer-engineer Red Boom SupaMix of Frenz For Real.
Out and Clean has already secured global radio premieres, including from renowned BBC 1xtra Radio DJ and industry stalwart Seani B.
“The song has a bounce to it, with my unique flow that I have mastered without the use of autotune,” Akino Dirtfree said.
The concept of the music video for Out and Clean was created by Akino Dirtfree and Dane Ray, and produced, shot and directed by the Akino’s label, POEM. Both artistes are confident that the song will capture the attention of dancehall’s more younger, influential audiences as it is relatable to current trends, fashion and street lifestyle.
