Artistes Reemus K and Sylence are encouraging youth to persevere through life’s obstacles on the song Live Life.

“The song is to uplift the mind of the listeners to know that they have one life to live and have to try to keep it positive with no thoughts of giving up,” Reemus K told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Live Life was produced by his Korrection Muzic Group record label. He added that its purpose to motivate others has been actualising since its release last Friday.

“My expectation for the song is to change a lot of negativity to positivity,” he said. “The song is mostly inspired by life and how life has been for many, so we’re giving the motivational speech to others to let them know we all go through some hard times but giving up is not an option.” Reemus K and Sylence have known each other for several years which created a good working synergy.

“He’s a young talent with a powerful voice as well,” Reemus K said. The track came about during a studio session where they listened to various rhythms until one struck a chord.

“We were just paying attention to this one topic to motivate the ghetto youths so Reemus start to sing and then we just finish write and record,” Sylence told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Their soul-baring vocals give an inkling of how personal the message of pertinacity is for the August Town artistes.

“As ghetto youths we just sing what happens in our life and what’s going on,” said Sylence. “If you listen with a headphone you can hear the pain in our voice and the message to all the ghetto youths about positivity. I know for sure different generations are listening to our music and we sing songs like Live Life to motivate people to think different and do better.”
