Wassy Wassness looking to excel in dancehall

Dancehall artiste Wassy Wassness is looking to make major moves in the industry.

“I got the name from my personalit­y and energy and my entertainm­ent style. None ah dem caan hold me on any stage show. Mi style crazy, mi energy, mi swag, mi is a real artiste,” he said. He got great recognitio­n from players in the dancehall and reggae music industry after his breakout single, Sell a Gal a Touch, went viral on social media in 2020. He followed up with Ex a Try Explain.

He is currently promoting the single Risky.

The artiste, whose given name is Okora Denton Burke, hails from Parks Road in Above Rocks, St Catherine. He attended Dinthill Technical High School. Since his breakthrou­gh in 2020, he has worked diligently on his craft. Wassy Wassness is generating a lot of attention overseas as he has also been recently featured on some popular reggae dancehall radio shows in the United States and the UK. “I greatly appreciate all the airplay and the recognitio­n; all these developmen­ts point to another major milestone in my career,” he said. He is also promoting the singles Walk and Gallis Conductor.
