Buff Bay Son takes control of the street

-

Spoken-word artiste Buff Bay Son is celebrating his newest song release, Control The Street, which is the second single from his self-dubbed genre of “motivational music”.

The single aims to provide social commentary on the nation’s current state of affairs and the artiste’s views on how the nation can build and grow.

Buff Bay Son, whose given name is Kingsley Chin, is a specialist in orthopaedic spinal surgery. He has titled himself the millionaire “doctorpreneur”, having created several business ventures. He has now become the voice behind motivational music and set out to become a pioneer in the genre.

In the edgy, vibrant single, Control The Street, recorded alongside Devin Di Dakta, Buff Bay Son tackles issues of poverty, crime, powerlessness, corruption, and governance head-on. “Put down the guns, don’t do it, get off the street,” is the poet’s opening salvo, in the recently released music video, delivered in a scene that mimics a national address-style press conference.

“Black youths dying from ganging. Everywhere, every year, spreading fear, give them gun, kill for fun. Who’s the don, the politician?” he pointedly goes on to enquire.

The project is produced by the Prove Yourself Music label in collaboration with JAW Records under the management company Prove Yourself Management & Productions.
