Travel blues for Brits

-

More than a quarter of Brits have forgotten to take their travel companion on holiday with them.

A hapless 53 per cent of people surveyed confessed that in the past 18 months, they’ve experienced a post-pandemic mishap when jetting abroad, with 28 per cent of those confessing to leaving their passports at home – and 26 per cent left their friend or family member behind.

Another 27 per cent booked a hotel for the wrong dates, while 24 per cent of those asked brought the wrong currency with them.

But to cheer people up from their holiday disasters,

Hotels.com are giving one person the chance to win a £10,000 holiday voucher by sharing their funniest travel fails on the @hotelsdotcomuk Twitter page between now and 18 October.

Gaffe-prone Joey Essex is spearheading the competition – and may even be a contender himself.

He said: “Hotels.com has got your back though, with a proper banging £10K towards a trip of a lifetime that’ll make your mates well jel. But that reminds me… where did I put my passport?”
