450 shows versatility on new track

- SADE GARDNER Staff Reporter

Recording artiste 450 is showcasing his versatility on his latest track,

Gyal Thief. The single, produced by Falconn of Tru Ambassador- Next Generation, sees 450 as a modern-day Casanova whose devilish charm is enough to seduce a man’s woman and her cousin.

The single has been trending on YouTube for music in the region since its première last Saturday and has garnered more than 100,000 streams.

“The feedback has been well good and I expect the song to do big things,” 450 told THE WEEKEND STAR. “I want it fi be a song weh just tek over the place, so we’re actually putting in the work to promote it and get it to the next step.”

Gyal Thief is a fun and lighter project compared to his last releases, Journey and Imperfection, which carried a more self-examining tone. The tracks brought new audiences to the young singjay and over seven millions streams, making them his most popular releases to date. Such a feat is often accompanied by pressure to stick to one style of music, but 450 dodged those ‘boxed-in’ bullets.

“I didn’t feel any pressure and that is why mi even drop something with a different type of vibe because I want people to see that I’m not only that type of artiste that produces that type of sound,” he said. “The intention was to do something different and show them a different side of me, show them that mi versatile. Mi did waan something weh people can bounce to seeing that my last two songs were songs you’d more sit down and meds with and hold a vibe with.”

He added that there are currently no plans to make a music video.
